Seven years of rebellious Uranus in earthen Taurus has cracked our landscapes, destabilised our values and sent shockwaves of revolution through human nature.
Truth has been hijacked, bodies are battlegrounds, every grain of dust is crying out for liberation.
Uranus is now on the move, and will skip into curious, contrarian, communicative Gemini on Monday 7th July 2025, affecting the expression of change in our lives, until Sunday 22nd May 2033.

Personally, Taurus is intercepted in my 11th house, containing my North Node/Venus/Pallas Athena conjunction sextile to Ascendant in Cancer, so the past few years of the Uranus/Taurus transit have been a strobing barrage of destabilizing challenges to my values, my community, my body and my money. If it wasn’t for my personal astrological research and thaumaturgy, I’d be probably be penniless, medicated and fumigating myself to death.
Instead, because I knew how to work with the challenges of the transit:
I have learned to tend my body’s epilepsy with no pharmaceutical interventions;
My blueprints for belonging and financial wellbeing are healed and radically improved;
My values drive innovative creative collaborations with individuals and organisations, growing space for justice-centred and animist-led astrology and spiritual leadership;
Most blessedly, I’m preparing to wed a hunky Taurean babe this summer (whose Sun is conjunct my Venus, swooooon).

On 7th July 2025, radical Uranus skips out of the mud of Taurus and into the fresh air of Gemini, the sign of communication, cognition and clarity.
Uranus prefers this spaciousness, this connectivity and this curiosity.
But it won’t be easy on our mental health, our attention spans or our neighbourhoods - unless we take decisive, empowered, informed action to prepare for what is coming.
The inimitable astrologer Alice Sparkly Kat tells us, in their seminal text Postcolonial Astrology (2021), how Gemini’s planetary ruler Mercury “was the only god who was allowed to go to the Underworld without the explicit permission of Hades.” (p.205)

This year, humanitarian Uranus is in Gemini for just five months (making a trine to Pluto, the god of the Underworld), before retrograding back into determined Taurus in November to finish what has been started. Uranus enters Gemini fully in April 2026, and will be there until 2032.
To give you a sense of the magnitude of this transit’s potentially disruptive power, Uranus moved into stuck-yet-steady Taurus in April 2019, coinciding (to the day!) with the initiation of Extinction Rebellion - the largest ever coordinated environmental uprising in human history (although I hear the birds rise up every morning to sing their survival songs of creation).
